6 months

Sully is 6 months old today. I cannot believe how time flies. But at the same time, I can't really remember what it was like to not have him here. He is truly a wonderful baby. We are so blessed to have him.

Barber college here we come!

Okay, so things have been a little trying lately because Chad has been working double shifts almost every day for the last couple of weeks. The evenings are the worst because the kids are tired from their busy day and excited to see each other and just all around things are crazy. The night before last Logan and Wiley were just determined to do anything and everything bad they could possibly think of. Included in this fun filled evening was that they decided to give each other haircuts. Now, Wiley is not that good at using scissors yet so Logan just had a little snip in the front, but Logan is great at scissors - he cuts things constantly. The newspaper on Sunday had every single sale ad that had the least bit of interest to him carefully cut out all over the floor. Needless to say, Wiley's hair suffered much more than Logan's. I was rocking Sully and they both came in spitting and sputtering because their mouths were filled with hair. The lights were dim so I didn't really notice the damage and first but when I went to the bedroom there was a lot of hair on the floor. Here are the pictures from the big event - check out the clumps of hair on the carpet!

Spring has sprung.....kind of, sort of

It is starting to feel a little more springy today. It is on again off again good weather. I am tired of being cold and rainy. Chad was home from work today after a rough bout with a possible food poisoning yesterday. (He ate 3 hot dogs at a gas station out of a warmer that had been off for no one knew how long - gross!) Wiley decided today was the day to make his own pop tart in the microwave and almost set it on fire. He filled the whole room with smoke and I would have never guessed how bad a burned pop tart could smell, and how long it could linger in your house! Anyway, here are some springy pictures to get us in the good weather spirit.

I saw on this blog I was reading where a lady was answering the question, "what were you doing five years ago?". It really got me thinking. My immediate response was that I was probably in college, maybe not married, you know - really different. But of course that is not it. Logan is 5 1/2 years old. It's funny how I think that time froze for me in my early 20's and everyone else is getting older, not me. And it's not that I am afraid of getting older, it really doesn't bother me. I just froze a picture of me in time and that's is what I always go to in that first split second that I think of myself. I think maybe it's because after you have kids, maybe you don't spend so much time evaluating yourself as you did before (and maybe you should!). Anyway, five years ago. I was a stay home mom of Logan. Logan was 8 1/2 months old. Chad worked construction during the day and UPS supervisor in the evenings. Logan was the absolute center of my world. I knew he was super busy, but I didn't know the half of it! He was crawling and on the verge of walking about a month later. We were very happy. So happy, we couldn't wait for more! Here are some pictures from then.

Please let the rain stop!!!

These pictures have nothing to do with the rain, but I'm just saying - come on, let it stop! Here are some of our latest pictures. Check out the way Sully is looking at Logan. He already adores his big brothers.
Logan is holding a balloon SWORD, in case you were wondering ;)!

Look at Chad on a lawn mower ride with Papaw and the boys in that tiny trailer - classic!

These boys LOVE their Daddy
